About

Hi, I'm Devon

I'm a strategic advisor — and the person you'd actually be working with. If I'm going to ask you to let me into your business, the least I can do is let you get to know me first.

How I got here

I found this work the honest way — by needing it

For nearly twenty years, I worked in marketing, communications, and brand — in-house at global beauty companies like Clinique, and later at the branding agency Landor, focused on brand-led employee engagement for Fortune 500 clients. In the fall of 2024, I was laid off.

What followed was a stretch of searching — long days of sending applications into one of the toughest, most automated job markets I'd ever seen, with no clear sense of what came next. Then I reconnected with a local business owner who'd once asked for my help launching a new side of his business. He knew what he wanted to do — he just didn't know how to market it, launch it, or sustain it. I had the time, and the experience. I said yes.

That one "yes" changed everything. It grew into real work, then a referral to another owner, then another. Along the way I did whatever each business needed to keep growing — strategy, brand, marketing, and plenty of rolling up my sleeves — and I discovered how much I loved seeing the whole picture, not just one piece of it.

And somewhere in there, I realized something: I love this. I love working with smaller businesses, because they're where the most potential lives — and where owners are stretched the thinnest. Helping them see what's possible, and then actually get there, is the most rewarding work I've ever done.

What I bring

Enterprise experience, brought down to your scale

Before all of this, I spent nearly twenty years in marketing, communications, and brand — inside global companies and at a world-class branding agency. As a Director of Global Communications at Clinique, I worked across product launches, executive messaging, and crisis response for a brand that reached dozens of markets. At the branding agency Landor, I focused on brand-led employee engagement for Fortune 500 clients like Johnson & Johnson, Comcast, and Accenture, and partnered on the brand positioning and strategy work alongside it. Across all of it, I learned to listen closely, ask better questions, and spot the opportunities others miss.

That's the perspective I bring to independent businesses now — the same strategic rigor, minus the big-agency price tag and complexity. Enterprise thinking, founder reality.

All told, my work spans beauty and consumer goods, technology, telecom and media, healthcare, financial services, and retail — from Clinique, Avon, and AHAVA to Comcast, Spectrum, and Ares. Different industries, one throughline: understanding what makes a business tick, and helping it grow.

How I work

A partner, never a salesperson

I'm not here to sell you anything. My job is to bring you the ideas, the reasoning behind them, and a clear sense of how they move you toward your goals — sometimes including opportunities you didn't know you had. What you do with that is always your call, and I respect that completely.

When we work together, I immerse myself in your business. We'll start with a conversation, and if you're local, I'll spend real time where you work — asking questions, poking around, getting the full picture. Sometimes it takes more than a couple of visits, sometimes only a few.

I do my best work with owners who are open — who genuinely want to grow, who'll consider things they'd never thought of, and who are comfortable saying "I don't know." Collaborative, honest, a little challenging, always practical. If that sounds like the kind of partnership you're after, we'll get along just fine.

The human behind the advisor

My family is my everything

Home is West Caldwell, New Jersey, where I live with my husband, Christian, and our two little boys. They're only this little once, and I'm soaking up every minute of it.

Family really is everything here — my parents, both my sisters, and their families all live within a few miles of us, spread across West Caldwell, North Caldwell, Roseland, and Montclair. Being this rooted in one place is a big part of why helping local business owners means so much to me.

Why this matters to me

This is the work I love

Here's the honest truth: I care, sometimes to a fault. When I take something on, I take it all the way — and few things make me happier than helping someone realize they're capable of more than they thought.

So whether you already know what's next and just need a partner to help you get there, or you have no idea what's next but sense that I can help you find it — that's exactly what I'm here for. Whatever it is, we'll figure it out together.
